TruPhone is a killer VoIP application for you mobile phone which route your calls via the internet using the wi-fi connection instead the GPRS network.

It brings VoIP on your mobile, free calls towards more of 40 countries and very cheap calls to everyone else.

At the moment TruPhone is compatible with Nokia N-series, but others handset will follow quickly. Take a look here for the compatible phones.

TruPhone Installation

In order to install TruPhone on your mobile phone just send an SMS to +44 7624 000 000 and wait for the answer. You will need GSM cellular coverage for this.

Open the message, click on the download link and install the VoIP application taking care to stay close to an access point/router connected to the internet. Follow the step-by-step guide.

VoIP Numbering

During the registration on TruPhone website you will given a number which will be your VoIP number. Everybody can call you with a normal phone using this number when you’re reachable via hotspot.

US and UK numbers are already available. Others country will have their own numeration soon.
