Adsense and Ebay ads together: it is possible

An announcement from Google to our editorial office removes the doubt

Those publishers who use AdSense to monetize their own sites traffic can put on the same pages offers from the eBay affiliation programme as well. We have been informed directly by Google AdSense support on account of a straight question we asked after noticing on the net publishers’ doubts and uncertainties on the subject.

Particularly, we have been explained in detail the concept of competitive Ads: “Google AdSense program policy does not permit Google ads to be published on the same web page as other contextually-targeted ads. More broadly, our policy does not permit Google ads to be displayed on the same website as ads that mimic or attempt to be associated with Google ads.

According to these program policies, Ebay ads may be displayed on the same page as Google ads on your site

Thus, other affiliation programmes are considered “rivals” only if they are contextual advertisements similar in look or functionality to AdSense, and in any case if trying to copy its style. We suggest at any rate to make eBay ads as much different as possible from AdSense ones in order to avoid stumbling in the quibble. Moreover, it has been made specifically clear that “For publishers participating in AdSense for search, please note that we do not allow other search services or query-targeted ads to be displayed on the same site as AdSense for search

Therefore, even if it is possible to put beside eBay and AdSense ads, the search on eBay products cannot be activated. The same happens with other programmes such as Amazon, but we suggest asking for explanation case by case.
