Notebook at 100$ for the third world

MIT Media Lab has announced the start up of a project (One Laptop per Child) whose target is the development of informatics in the Third World by supplying to poor countries notebook at 100$.

Laptops (portable computers) are in no way inferior to those on the market in the rich West and will be equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and infrared port to interface with mobile phones. Illustrious spokesman of the initiative is the guru Nicholas Negroponte.
