Does Google index books as well
The project is called Google Print Library Project and consists in the digitalization and indexing of millions of books from Harvard, Stenford and Michigan Universities. The American Association of Publishers has already threatened to bring Google to court for copyright violation, since those books are regularly protected by publishing copyrights. A team of publisher, whose members are
McGraw-Hill, Pearson Education, Penguin Group USA, Simon & Schuster e John Wiley & Sons,
has sent an injunction to the company of Mountain View for “perpetuated, irreparable and imminent damages, already in progress.. caused by the voluntary violation of copyrights in order to achieve commercial targets”.
