Video Streaming HD: Watch DivX Movies With Stage6 And Joox

Stage6 is a really satisfying videosharing service for high definition videos. As for Youtube,  all users can upload  films and videos, but you need to install DivX webplayer to enjoy the show.

Another main difference between Youtube and Stage6 is that  you can upload  films and serials in their integral version.

This service was first launched in 2006 by DivX inc. and it has recently become an independent project. The use of codec DivX allows an High Definition quality (up to 1080p).

Unfortunately to appreciate this quality we need at least a 3mbps download speed DSL.

I really suggest you to give a glance to it, as the quality of its videos is very high. They are organized, like all video sharing portals, for category, tagging and popularity.

Joox, for instance, is the result of the constant need of sending films and serials  in their integral version. Here all users can recommend those integral version films present on Stage6, which will be then organized for their language and category.

The choice for films in English is very wide: to have an idea, up to now (28.01.08) there are really recent films such as American Gangster, 007 Casino Royale or Bewolf.

If you prefer earlier films instead you can choose among many titles of the ‘20s and ‘30s (such as Nosferatu).

Honestly, I haven’t already understood how all these new services can take part of the copyright system. I’m still waiting for a Brasilian film to come, Troupa de Elite, maybe not economically interesting enough to be distributed in Italian cinemas. But on Joox I had the chance to see it!
